A list of smaller or lesser pieces of evidence found during the Halbach investigation. The list consists of items that were or may have been relevant to the Avery and/or Dassey cases but did not play a big role, or any role, at trial.
Woolite Carpet Cleaner
Found on 2 March 2006 by DCI agent Gary Steier in Steven Avery’s garage. Never brought up at trial. A look at its official website reveals that it "Eliminates tough odors" and it "Protects against stains and soils on carpet". The website also has a guide on how to clean blood stains. The prosecution has always maintained Avery cleaned his trailer and/or garage following the Halbach murder. Could this solvent have been used to dispose of trace evidence?
Found on 2 March by 2006 by DCI agent Gary Steier in Steven Avery’s garage. It's official website says it "reduces odor" and "remov[es] tough soils such as dirt, grime, mold, mildew, blood, urine, and fecal matter." Could Avery have used this on the red fluid in his garage?
Found on Saturday 5 November 2005 in Steven Avery’s trailer. It is unclear if this is related to the Halbach murder. Perhaps it was a message for Teresa from Steven, asking her to walk around his trailer.
Partially burned rake
A partially burned rake was discovered near Steven Avery’s burn pit. Was it used during the bonfire on 31 October? Other tools were also discovered nearby the pit. Halbach's cremains were damaged. Was this done using these tools?
Found on Saturday 5 November 2005 in Steven Avery’s trailer. It is evidence of Teresa Halbach having been over at Avery’s Auto Salvage and having had contact with Steven Avery.
